Summer in Austin can be hot, but it also brings some of my favorite things for senior photos: lush green grass, wildflowers, bright sunflowers, and beautiful evenings by the water. Kayla's gorgeous senior session at Commons Ford Ranch in Austin, Texas was the perfect example of why I love this location for senior photography.


We spent the evening exploring the property, starting in the tall green grass and sunflower-filled areas before making our way down to the lake dock. The variety of scenery made it possible to get so many different looks without ever having to leave the location.


One of my favorite things about senior sessions is getting to make each one feel personal to the person I'm photographing. We don't have to stay in one spot or make every photo look the same. We can explore, try different poses and backdrops, and just have fun with it!
