I have been a photographer for six years now, and while I love and continue to grow my experience with couples and families, seniors have always been the heart of Natkphotography. Working with high school students is something I've felt called to for years (I've been a HS YoungLife leader for the past four years), and I genuinely love getting to know each senior I photograph. There's something so special about walking alongside students during such a meaningful season of life and helping them celebrate who they are before they step into what's next.


This spring, I decided to launch my very first Senior Rep Team, and I'm so glad I did! Watching these girls build friendships, gain confidence, and celebrate one another while creating beautiful photos together has been such a joy. It's reminded me why I fell in love with senior photography in the first place. If all I did was show up, snap a few photos, and call it a day, there wouldn't be much depth or meaning to what I do!

 

Group Sessions

 

Our first time getting together was a meet-and-greet at my house, where we shared a meal, got to know each other, opened personalized gifts, and took some introductory photos. It was such a fun way to kick off the experience and gave everyone a chance to connect before the sessions throughout the semester. By the end of it, it already felt less like a group of strangers and more like a community of friends excited to celebrate their senior year together!

Girls Day at the Ranch

Our first official group session took place at a ranch, and it was the perfect opportunity to get creative. We spent the evening shooting among tall, flowy grass, climbing on hay bales, and even incorporating baby chicks into some of the photos! It was a chance for everyone to let their inner Texas country girl come out, and the setting made for such a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Garden Party

Our second group session took place at the beautiful Zilker Botanical Gardens in downtown Austin. Surrounded by blooming flowers, winding pathways, and lush greenery, it felt like spring had fully arrived. We spent the morning wandering through the gardens, soaking in the beauty of nature, and capturing photos that felt bright, fresh, and full of life. It was such a fun contrast to our ranch session and gave us the perfect backdrop for some classic spring photos.

The One Where They Graduate

Our third and final group session was especially meaningful. The girls wore their college shirts, along with their caps and gowns, making it a celebration of how far they've come and what's next. It was so fun to see their excitement as they represented the schools they'll be attending and officially stepped into the reality of graduation. After spending the semester getting to know them, documenting this milestone felt like a full-circle moment and the perfect way to close out our time together as a team!

Individual Sessions

 

Not only did the girls get to participate in multiple group sessions with fun themes, but they also each had their own individual senior session. As much as I loved watching them grow together as a team, I also loved getting one-on-one time with each of them. Every senior is so unique, and their individual sessions allowed me to highlight their own unique personalities, interests, and style.
